PLENARY LECTURERS
dr. Ranko Rajović is a specialist in internal medicine, a master of neurophysiology and a doctor of sports sciences. He is a UNICEF Associate for Early Education and a guest lecturer at colleges in several countries. Founder of Mensa Serbia, and the initiator and one of the founders of Mensa Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Dr. Ranko Rajović is one of the greatest experts (in region) when it comes to early development of children's intelligence. He also created the NTC program for parent and teacher education, which is implemented in 17 European countries. The primary role of the NTC program is to use new discoveries in the field of neuroscience in the classroom and in everyday life through various activities and games that have a positive effect on brain development. One of the most appreciative interlocutors on child rearing, an expert adored by the public because his advice is clear, concise, simple and purposeful.

izv. prof. dr. sc. Marina Gabelica is a literary critic, literary and film methodologist. At the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, Republic of Croatia, she teaches courses in the field of children's literature and media. In her expert and professional work, she deals with the potential of storytelling in various media - from children's literature to electronic literature and film. In addition to scientific and professional papers, she is the author (along with Dubravka Težak) of the university textbook Creative Approach to Reading, several Croatian language textbooks for younger primary school students, as well as a series of methodological manuals and educations for teachers and educators in reading, media and film literacy. She will present the topic: Electronic children's literature in the context of the simultaneous development of multiple literacy.
Mina Patel, Founder and CEO of Video Conferencing for Global Learning in London, UK. She holds a Master's Degree (Technology Enhanced Learning) (IC) from Sheffield Hallam University and has won a number of awards in the field of videoconferencing in education and has been active in education for over 25 years as a teacher, mentor and author of a range of research . Mina has worked as a project manager for English language teaching, which has worked closely with the Ministry of Education to develop materials and training to support English language teachers throughout the country.

Päivi Nilivaara is an internationally recognized Finnish education advisor. He works in the Research Group for Education, Evaluation and Learning - REAL at the University of Tampere. Her research interests are focused on future learning methods and competencies and the development of skills and thinking. She specializes in curriculum development, teacher training and 21st century pedagogy. She has participated in curricular reform in Finland and has conducted hundreds of training programs for teachers and principals in national and international contexts in various countries in Europe, Africa and Asia - including Croatia. She started as a teacher and principal in primary education, and today works as a national and international education expert in both the public and private sectors.

Mladen Kopasić is a primary school teacher with twenty years of experience. He is the author of textbooks and e-textbooks in the field of mathematics and science and technology, a lecturer and co-organizer of international conferences and an external associate for the preparation of national tests of Slovenian language skills in primary school. He is known among his classmates as the initiator of the online exchange of materials, which was especially evident during distance work. For pedagogical achievements in 2017, he received the Award of the Republic of Slovenia for primary education. In 2021, he was the superfinalist of Slovenia for the Global Teacher Prize - the selection for the best teacher in the world. Although he graduated from the School for Principals, until further notice he is seen more in the classroom than in the office. He works at the Polje Elementary School in Ljubljana.

Juraj Bilić is the Deputy Director of CARNET. He holds a master's degree in economics from the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek. He worked as a coordinator of educational projects in the non-governmental sector, where, among other things, he led the project "New School - Integrated School Vukovar" with the aim of establishing an integrated primary school in Vukovar. During his work in the non-governmental sector, he gained extensive experience in the development, application and implementation of educational projects funded by the European Commission, the World Bank, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Croatia and other major donors.
He initiated and led the development of CARNET's e-School project, the largest informatization project funded by the European Union, which digitally transforms the teaching and business processes of primary and secondary schools and raises the level of their digital maturity. |
